  How to Get Started with Your OpenGate Bundle

Thank you for using OpenGate products to add more functionality to your Access projects.  Below are our recommended deployment steps for bundled products.  If you have questions at any stage, please don't hesitate to contact support for assistance.  We'll be happy to make sure you are on your way to a successful project working with our products and Access.

1 Download and unzip all files appropriate for your version of Microsoft Access from the secure support site.  We recommend creating a new folder on your PC to store all the downloads from OpenGate in a single location.
 
2 If you are starting a new database project, open the Designer for Microsoft Access file by double clicking.  If you are working with an existing database or will be using a UI Builder template, skip to step 4. Designer for Access overview
3 In the final step of the Designer wizard, select the "Save my work into UI Builder..." checkbox and locate the copy of UI Builder you have downloaded.  Once you are satisfied with your database design, skip to step 5.  
4 If you have an existing database, open the copy of UI Builder or Workflow Builder you downloaded and select the "Migrate" option in the setup wizard to migrate your existing database into UI Builder.

integrating dashboard builder into UI Builder
If your bundle includes Dashboard Builder, open Dashboard Builder and select the "Add/Upgrade Dashboard Builder to a UI Builder database."  Dashboard Builder will be added to your new database.  You can begin working with it by opening the form "frmWelcomeDashboard" from the navigation pane, or by adding it to your UI Builder menu.

7 If your bundle includes Report Builder, you can simply run the Report Builder installation for your Access version by double-clicking the file.  Report Builder will install and be available in the Access Add-Ins menu.  
8 If your bundle includes FormSafe, follow the instructions in the FormSafe User's Guide to integrate FormSafe into your database.
