PowerPane for Excel

Cell-level comments in Excel are highly valuable. The PowerPane cell comments feature speeds things up by letting you add a new comment simply by selecting the cell and typing into the comments box. No more right-clicking!  And, the "Indicators" option lets you turn the little red triangle icons on or off at the workbook level.  This is particularly helpful when you have a comment-heavy workbook you'd like to share with others, but not overwhelm them with the comments.
